Lori graduated from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, with a B.A. in communication and a minor in psychology. Before joining UC Berkeley Extension in 2001, she had worked in the marketing departments at McGraw-Hill (now S&P Global, Inc.), IDG Books (now John Wiley & Sons, Inc.) and Eleven Acceleration (a B2B methodology startup).
