On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, members of the Personal Financial Planning certificate community came together for its 13th annual awards dinner at UC Berkeley's Faculty Club to recognize exceptional achievements among its students and instructors.

Speakers emphasized the importance of community in this profession and the passion for serving traditionally underserved groups, including women. There was an emphasis on empathy—truly listening to clients beyond the numbers.

Recruiters from leading financial firms were also present to discuss opportunities with attendees.
