David Montero has been defining design best practices for mobile AR since its infancy during his work at Layar and Blippar, two of the AR 1.0 trailblazers. Currently a Senior Experience Design Lead at Adobe's Project Aero, David is focused on bringing 3-D and immersive media to a brand-new generation of creation tools. His passion for mixing realities goes a decade-and-a-half back as a researcher on Multimodality and Virtual Worlds at Tokyo University, and it has been a fundamental component of his interactive artwork, like “Deja Vu” (TEDx Valladolid, 2012) and “#FollowUS” (MADATAC 04, Madrid 2012).
Stefanie Hutka
Experience Researcher at Adobe
Former Research Scientist, DAQRI
Stefanie Hutka, Ph.D., is an Experience Researcher at Adobe as part of the company’s Design Research and Strategy team. In this role, Stefanie focuses on Adobe’s immersive-media initiatives, such as augmented reality (AR) and 3-D. Prior to working at Adobe, Stefanie spent two years at Los Angeles–based AR company DAQRI, where she established the organization’s user-research program. Prior to DAQRI, Stephanie completed her Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Toronto, specializing in auditory cognitive neuroscience. She also has a diploma in violin performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, a background that was the impetus to studying human perception and cognition.

Head of Business Operations & Partnerships at Sturfee
Sheng Huang is the Head of Business Operations at Sturfee, a computer vision company that creates the world’s first city-scale visual positioning service (VPS). Prior to Sturfee, Sheng was an early member of Niantic Labs, helping the business scale user operations to support millions on Ingress. Before Niantic, he was part of the strategy team in Google’s internal incubator for local products such as Wallet, Offers and indoor maps. Sheng received his M.B.A. from the London Business School and undergraduate business and legal degrees from UC Berkeley.
