Hi, everyone. I am Jiahui Cai (Jennie) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and I major in marketing. Currently I am doing my exchange semester in University of California, Berkeley through BHGAP (Berkeley Haas Global Access Program). So far, I have gone through a lot of precious experiences and I am more than happy to share them with you!

This is my first blog on my life in Berkeley and I want to talk about some things that I really enjoy outside the classroom.

1. Exciting Events and Activities in Berkeley Campus

I took these two photos in one day at the beginning of this semester. When the semester began, I was deeply surprised by the diversity and vitality on the campus. Walking in Berkeley campus, you can easily find people of many different ethnic backgrounds and cultures talking and hanging out together. I am also impressed by the Cal band performance at the international student orientation reception, the wonderful activities held by hundreds of different Berkeley students organizations and clubs and even the squirrels on campus! Also, there are plenty of interesting events on campus every day, including academic seminar, exhibitions, performances and so on. You can easily get access to all the information on Berkeley Events and attend the one that fits your interest!

2. Great Scenery Outside the Campus

This is a photo of me and my friends at the top of the Big C. The Big C is a giant concrete block "C" in the Berkeley Hills overlooking the campus. It took us approximately 20 minutes to walk from Haas Business School to the peak. At the top of Big C you can have a great overlook of the city and even able to see the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. Sitting at the block "C." we enjoyed the warm breeze and had a nice talk about our Berkeley life. Come to Big C and I am sure you will enjoy the cozy vibe as we did!  And don't miss the wonderful sunset view at Big C!
